Mississippi Blues

$4,200

36”x15”

Mississippi Blues is dedicated to all of the men and women of the blues from Mississippi. I grew up hearing the blues from the juke box in the club down the street. The wood was purchased from a saw mill in Texas in the year 1999. I began carving this piece while working at Mississippi Valley State University in 2001. It is created from walnut and is one of my favorite works. The inspiration came from my love for the blues.
